EPISODE #
CoinMENA’s Talal Tabbaa on crypto’s disruptive powers, ICOs and why Bitcoin has won!
About this episode
Talal is the Co-Founder and Chairman at CoinMENA, a crypto business that was founded by Talal and his Co-Founders Dina Sam’an and Yazan Barghuthi – and regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain – that aims to provide crypto based financial services such as borrowing, lending, investing and more.
Talal’s energy is palpable. He is clearly a believer of the massive disruption crypto will create to our status quo. Why shouldn’t financial services be more inclusive? easier and more affordable? Why can’t we all have access to credit if we had collateral, irrespective of our financial standing or employment status?
In this extremely rich discussion, Talal talks to us about founding CoinMENA and why he believes that “a rising tide lifts all ships” and that the more entrepreneurs adopt crypto, the better it is for all! Talal wants to push boundaries and go beyond the traditional form of crypto exchange into something that would provide additional value to users.
We end with an informative explanation of the purpose of money as a store of value, unit of measure and medium of exchange. We touch not he concept of soft versus hard money and why Bitcoin, in Talal’s view has won the cryptocurrency race.
A not to be missed conversation if you’re curious about crypto and if you’re looking to go crypto trading a try.
